WisDOT STH 175 – Intersection of Pilgrim Rd & Menomonee Ave

M Squared Engineering, LLC (M²) provided construction support services for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation lead project on STH 175 – Intersection with Pilgrim Rd & Menomonee Ave, Waukesha County, WI. M² provided the assistant construction leader, who also served as the material manager. Various construction activities include excavation and grading, removing high mast light towers, concrete base, colored and stamped concrete, milling and asphalt overlay, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk pedestrian ramps, storm sewer installation, structure reconstructs and adjustments, water utility, temporary traffic signals, traffic signals and street lighting, and schedule coordination. Continuous field adjustments were required for the curb ramp layout and construction to accommodate the existing roadway elevation change while at the same time ensuring ADA compliance. There were a total of 48 curb ramps throughout the corridor of this project. In addition, staff performed coordination and communication with utility companies and helped ensure traffic (pedestrian and vehicular) was maintained at all times, including detour routes to accommodate pedestrian traffic. M² performed cost control, cost accounting, and the management of project schedules to make sure that quality work was performed by the contractor within schedule.
