(I-294) 159th Street Bridge & Ramps
M Squared Engineering, LLC (M²) teamed with SINGH & Associates Inc. for this project as part of a Design Upon Request (DUR) contract for the Illinois Tollway. The M² team worked on this urban bridge replacement project within a cloverleaf interchange. The project included the replacement of the 159th Street bridge over I-294, a study to determine if an adjacent sign structure, recently damaged, needed repair or replacement, and other roadway improvements to tie the existing ramps and bridge approaches into the new bridge. The project itself had to meet Tollway requirements as it pertains to I-294 impacts but also IDOT requirements as 159th Street is an IDOT route.
